The room was decent and the location was convenient, right across from the MRT, though there’s no elevator. The service and the owner’s attitude were awful, which is why I’m leaving such a bad review despite rarely doing that, even for run-down places or poor facilities. We arrived without having received any check-in instructions. The WhatsApp and phone numbers provided went unanswered for 10-15 minutes, and there was no one at the front counter. After 1.5 hours, the hotel owner messaged us without a real, sincere apology. The first thing he asked was which hotel I’d booked, since he owns several. I was angry and wanted an explanation first thing in the morning. He made excuses about why he might not be able to provide one, then patronized me for demanding it. If you or your staff make a mistake, my anger isn’t my fault. As a responsible business operator, you need to take accountability for all the properties you own. Service would be an automatic zero if I could rate it that way.

The bed was very comfortable, the A/C got cold, and the compact bathroom had enough room. Self check-in was easy, and the host’s contact details were posted in several places. There are plenty of food vendors for morning and evening, plus a 7-11 close by. I had a good stay. A couple of things to keep in mind when booking: there’s no elevator, but the stairs are only 10 to 12 steps and easy enough. Street noise was loud in my room, though I still slept fine. Most of it stopped around 11 pm and started again about 6 am. Rooms are cleaned every 3 days. I forgot to ask about trash collection and didn’t know where to leave my full bags each morning.

The guest house is right across from Bangwa BTS station, making it easy to get around Bangkok. I liked my stay: the room was clean and nice, with enough space to open large suitcases, and the self check-in instructions were easy to follow. Highly recommended 😊

I was glad to start getting to know Bangkok from this apartment. The owner was polite and attentive, and everything was very clean. Check-in is self-service, with an interesting little quest-like feel to getting inside. I chose a room with a view of the MRT station, which is incredibly close. You can see the station from the window, though the tracks sit a little higher up. There’s a lively street below with lots of different food stalls, and I found it fascinating, like stepping into the heart of Bangkok’s layered cyberpunk world. Street noise depends on the room, and the owner has quieter ones if that’s more your thing.
