Best Western Chatuchak

We had a very comfortable stay in this modern hotel. The bed and pillows were excellent, and the air conditioning worked very well. The bathroom was good too, with a shower that had a powerful spray. Customer service was excellent, and the location is convenient, with the railway line a short walk away. They provided two bottles of water in the room.

Please be careful not to leave your belongings behind at this hotel. I had a very poor experience with the Front Office team at Best Western Chatuchak, who showed little responsibility or professionalism. When I checked out, they asked me to wait five minutes while they checked. I left my luggage at the hotel for about an hour and a half. When I returned and asked the Front Office to look for the item I’d forgotten in the room, they gave no clear answer. About 15 minutes after I’d left for the airport, I realized something was missing and returned straight to reception to ask again. They said they didn’t have my belongings. Only after I asked them to recheck and send confirmation by email did the hotel suddenly say they had found the item, by then I was already at the airport. The most disappointing part was that the Front Office team didn’t take the case seriously, offered no clear explanation, and didn’t apologize at the start. Their email replies only mentioned that I could pick it up next time or pay a 200 THB domestic delivery fee. They ignored my request for an explanation. I’ve attached the email conversation to show an objective view. This is a basic hotel service failure. Losing track of a guest’s belongings and giving inconsistent information is unacceptable. It was a very poor experience. Anything important needs to be said twice: “Do not forget your belongings If staying here!” Cheers!

The room was cozy, with comfortable beds and clean sheets and towels. The bathroom had a shower stall, a toilet with a bidet, and some toiletries. It’s a really nice hotel just a stone’s throw from Chatuchak Weekend Market, and good enough for a night in Bangkok. For getting into central town, Kamphaeng Phet MRT Station on the Blue Line and Mo Chit BTS on the Green Line are the nearest metro stations. To or from Don Mueang Airport, a Grab takes 15-20 minutes and costs ฿200-฿300, excluding toll fees. The SRT Dark Red Line takes 30-50 minutes.

The rooms were comfortable, the sheets clean, and the front staff very pleasant. The hotel is only a few minutes’ walk from the weekend Bangkok Market, which was why we chose it. Floor 11 had a mild, odd smell. The bathrooms had no washcloths, perhaps that’s not a Thai tradition. I also found what looked like a forgotten dusting cloth on the headboard, which wasn’t great. After the market we were sweaty, and when I tried to shower there was no hot water. Staff were working on it. Breakfast was included and basic, but the coffee was good. If we hadn’t been going to the market, this wouldn’t have been the place to stay in Bangkok. Best Western should do better, the brand depends on it. Just my opinion.
