Blue Chang House

The temple beside the hotel is being renovated, and the work is noisy. It starts around 8:00 am, so getting more sleep will be difficult. Keep that in mind when booking.

The place has a lovely suburban feel, with blue wooden-house vibes and plants everywhere. The people running it are friendly, too. Just be aware that some rooms have very thin walls. You can hear your neighbor as if they're in your room, so check whether that would bother you 🙂

The location made it easy to reach tourist spots and local places to eat, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I especially liked the outdoor seating and the kitchen, which stays open around the clock and has hot water. Blue Chang Hotel has a welcoming feel and is a good option for its location. There were some downsides during my stay: the room was small and dim, the bathroom had no ventilation, and noise carried through the thin walls. Housekeeping also took away the towels and didn't bring them back.

We spent nearly two weeks here, visiting the surrounding areas and eating at nearby restaurants that stay open late. The spot is quiet enough for a breather, but attractions are still about a 10-15 minute walk away. With little traffic, taxis could pick us up and drop us off easily. The host was friendly and accommodating, and helped us get whatever we needed. There was constant warm water for showers, and the place had what a backpacker needs to relax and recharge. We had a lovely stay at blue Chang house!
