Cloud on Saladaeng Silom Hostel Bangkok

The location is great, close to important spots, MRT and one of the sky trains, Lumpini Park, and several shopping malls. This is a quieter hostel, which suited me because I wanted somewhere calm. The room and beds were good, and there’s a locker outside the rooms, so bring your own lock. The shared bathroom was good and cleaned regularly. I liked the ground floor social area, and they also offer quick, good laundry service and decent breakfast. If you’re fine with a less social place, it’s a great option.

The park is close by, so it’s easy to pop over, and there’s a free pool table at the hostel. Staff mostly do their own thing, but they help when you ask. Local people stay here too, which makes it feel less like a tourist bubble. On weekends they serve a free cooked breakfast in local style; on weekdays there’s a street vendor market about a three minute walk away with cheap breakfast options. The old Wat building has high ceilings and terrazzo floors, so it stays cool. Dorms are spacious, and there are lots of chairs and cushions outside to hang out on. I loved the quiet, roomy feel. About the construction nearby, when I stayed in November 2025 the skyscraper looked close to completion. You could hear some hammering if you paid attention in the park or on the streets, but it blended into the usual city noise and wasn’t a problem at the hostel. Maybe the earlier foundation work was louder.

A good choice if you want somewhere quiet, as I didn’t find many chances to socialize despite the nice shared spaces. The staff were lovely and helpful, and the place is within walking distance of transport, shops, and Lumphini Park. The four bed mixed dorm was clean and spacious, with a shelf area and a locker for your things, though you need to bring your own lock. I also appreciated that the bathrooms were separated by gender. I’d stay again.

We extended our stay because the hostel was so convenient and comfortable. It has a relaxed feel, is walkable, and sits away from the noise while still being close to the metro and city centre. The staff were really friendly and kind. The female only dorm cost 400 baht per night and had a nice bunk with its own curtain, outlet, light, and AC.
