Double D Rooms & Cafe

For a family of four to six, it’s good value if you want an affordable, decent room. It isn’t luxurious, but it has the basic amenities. There’s no lift for luggage, though plenty of restaurants and 7-Elevens are nearby.

I can’t recommend this place at all. The room smelled strongly of smoke, and the bathroom smelled like dog poop. Traffic from the road was noisy all night, so I don’t think anyone could get a good sleep here. It’s cheap, but there are cheaper and much nicer places around. Don’t book here.

We couldn’t get a good night’s sleep because traffic and noise from the next room carried in. The bathrooms were below average, the worst I’ve seen in Thailand so far. The rooms are extremely small, to the point where you can’t stretch your arms up to put on clothes. They have no windows, and even with the AC set to 18 degrees it didn’t work properly, so you might wake up with a headache or a heavy head. The stairs are very steep and there’s no elevator, something to consider if you have heavy bags. The tiny rooms seem to have been made by putting plastic dividers into what used to be one big hall before renovation. The woman at the counter was very annoying and insistent about cash-only payment. One helpful thing: they let us leave our luggage in reception for two hours after checkout since our flight was in the late evening. I’m surprised by the positive reviews from other guests. I strongly advise against booking this hotel.

I only stopped for coffee, not a room, and the espresso was fantastic. They ground it fresh right in front of you, and the price was decent. The woman at the counter was really nice, and the little bag of cookies was very good and moderately priced too.
