Jack, the bellhop, deserves a special thank you. When I needed to exchange currency, he didn't just direct me somewhere. He personally drove me several miles to a trusted exchange business to make sure I was taken care of. That rare level of effort says a lot about the hotel's care for its guests. The Bangkok hotel itself was exceptional from start to finish. The property is beautiful, the rooms spotless and comfortable, and its location made exploring the city easy. The staff were warm, attentive, and always seemed a step ahead. Five-star experience all around. I'll absolutely be back.

The buffet at Dusit Gourmet was great today. The selection was a bit limited, but the food was amazing. Seafood was my favorite, and you can ask the chef to prepare it however you like, steamed or stir-fried with Thai-style sauces. JR, Tong, and Poy took good care of us, with superb service. The price was reasonable too.

We could get around easily from here, including Siam, Lumphini Park, Icon Siam, the BTS and the metro, and the area felt very safe. The room was modern and really clean, breakfast was good, and the rooftop pool and bar were amazing. We did hear some road noise and furniture being moved late at night, though, since our room was one floor below the pool. I’d recommend it.

The neighborhood was calm, with local homes and a few offices, and we didn't get stuck in traffic even for a short trip to the hotel. There are several nice places to eat and get coffee within a ten-minute walk, and Grab was easy to find for trips into the city center. My Mum and I spent two nights at DusitD2. We arranged the hotel's airport transfer for 1,400 thb to avoid the rush of getting a Grab at arrivals. Our driver was a genial gentleman, about 70 years old, and got us to Samyan safely and quickly. Check-in went smoothly, too. A staff member whose name we didn't get told us he'd asked housekeeping to prepare our room first, so we could check in early, around 11.45am. Our twin room on the 23rd floor was clean, with plenty of space for our luggage and a chair and chaise to relax in. The sliding bathroom doors were handy when we wanted privacy. Breakfast was fantastic, with a nice balance of international and local dishes and plenty of choice without going overboard. It might help to have non-dairy options besides milk for guests who are lactose intolerant. Jo and Prom made check-out efficient. It was a pleasant short stay, and we hope to return for the environment and service.
