INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit

The team made our anniversary holiday unforgettable, handling every request with care and paying attention to the details. We’re so grateful to everyone. After a 12-hour trip, the bed let us sleep like we were at home. We already miss those fantastic pillows. The room was spotless and had toiletries, towels, a great hair dryer and speaker, a roomy bathtub, and lots of space at the dressing table. For us it was a 10 out of 10. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. The women at the buffet were cheerful and always served us with a smile. The pool area was smaller than we expected, but it felt cozy, and we enjoyed being able to have lunch there from the good food and cocktail menu. Pai & Shape at the entrance helped with our bags right away, and their genuine smiles and warm, professional manner made us feel looked after from the start. The whole team was incredible, and everything ran smoothly and felt well organized. We had an amazing time at INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit. Breakfast was plentiful and amazing, with great views. The drinks were nicely served and came with lovely views too, though they’re pricey by Bangkok standards. The pool is small but lovely. You may need to go early or get lucky to find someone going. We were given a friendly welcome at check in and a lovely corner room with a view over the city. The rooms have a trendy layout, with the sink in the room and the shower and toilet outside a separate bathroom area. That works for singles or couples, but I wouldn’t want to share one with a friend. The location is really handy for the BTS Skytrain at On Nut station, and it’s easy to get into the old town for temples and other sights. We had a great 3 night stay and I’d book again in a heartbeat.

The rooftop pool is a lovely spot with a panoramic view of Bangkok, and the food and cocktails up there were delightful. Seating is scarce, around 10 to 15 sun chairs, so get there early if you want a place. The water felt quite cold, though the view makes up for that. I also liked the clean, well-equipped fitness center, with fresh towels and complimentary fruit after a workout. The hotel is near the train station, which made getting around easy. The tower is impressive, about 34 levels, and the rooms are modern, clean and sleek, with minimalist white décor. A couple of things were a bit inconvenient: room cards are needed to access different floors in the elevators, and reception is on an upper floor, either the 30th or 32nd, so you have to go there before heading to your room. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, and despite those small quirks, I had a pleasant stay at Inside By Melia in Bangkok.
