Kiatthada Resort and House

There are two water bottles in the fridge, and a water purifier beside the friendly reception. A vending machine outside the lobby sells cola and energy drinks, which was fun. Most rooms are on the second floor. Mine was a roomy 30-square-meter space with a balcony, and the mosquito screens were fitted perfectly. Even with the bathroom window open for airflow, the screen kept things covered. Smaller rooms or ones without balconies could be frustrating, but that wasn't my experience.

A bus passes every 20-30 minutes, and the viabus app is handy for tracking it. I liked the very large room, with a door to the outside and floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto a small garden. It was really quiet.

There are shops and good food nearby, plus a muay thai gym close by. You can still explore Bangkok with rideshare apps. The staff were kind and helpful, and I'd happily stay here again if I'm in this part of Bangkok.

The amenities are very basic, just bath towels, water and liquid soap, and there's no hairdryer, so bring your own if you'll need one. Luckily, a few convenience stores are within walking distance for picking up supplies. It was a quiet, pleasant stay. I liked the local feel and peaceful surroundings.
