L.A.Tower Hotel

You can enjoy the city lights from the balcony at night, and when we didn’t feel like going out to explore bangkok, there was a Cafe and Restaurant downstairs with different kinds of good food and drinks. There’s also a Salon, laundry shop, and even a coin operated washing machine. The staff were polite and nice, and for the price LA Tower is great value. I liked my stay and will definitely return to LA Tower.

The room was spacious and clean, though they were still cleaning when I arrived, so I checked in with a wet floor. It’s old, but everything works. This feels more like an old condo with rooms for lease than a hotel. The corridor has an old hospital vibe, and there’s no rooftop. The receptionist was unfriendly and said "oh my god🙄" when I explained I didn’t have much cash for the deposit. The old locks don’t seem reliable. It took me a few minutes to open them, and they gave me three keys for two locks. I still don’t know how it all works. For what they charge, it’s not worth it.

The room was clean and large, the only good thing about this hotel. The pool is closed for reconstruction untill winter, and rooms next to yours are being worked on. The Wi-Fi is fast, but logging in is a headace because there’s a new password every day. One day the proper password wouldn’t work, and I had to insist to get another one. The location is in a dodgy criminal night district of Bangkok. I complained about the misleading swimming pool information on Google and Booking.com, but staff ignired it and the pool photos are still online. Enough, I’m relocating to another hotel. All OYO chain hotels I tried were disrespecrfull to their guests.

The mattress was so soft it left me with a sore back, and the internet was slow even though they charge 200 baht for each additional device after the first one. The pool is closed and being renovated to July. They charged 20 baht for a small amount of water, unlike the free daily water at every hotel in Thailand. I’ll never stay here again!
