Mercure Bangkok Makkasan

Mr. Nine and Mr. Milk made getting around much easier during our stay at Mercure Bangkok Makkasan. They told me about the complimentary shuttle while I was walking to Seven Eleven, then kindly drove me there, waited, and brought me back. They were polite, punctual, and helpful throughout, assisting with directions and making sure pick-ups and drop-offs went smoothly. Their friendly manner made our Bangkok travel comfortable and stress-free. Many thanks to both of them, they’re a real asset to the hotel. We’ll be back soon.

YOD was friendly and polite the whole trip, and always willing to help. The beds were soft and comfortable. We had a few small problems, like getting locked out of the room and a card that wouldn’t work, but reception staff were pleasant and fixed them as they came up. The location is decent mainly because of the hourly shuttle to the MRT and the twice-daily ride to the shopping centre.

We arrived late, and the hotel looked welcoming. As an Accor Gold member, I appreciated the complimentary upgrades for both rooms, plus the special decorations they arranged. Our room experience was very good, and the staff were courteous. A few things could have been clearer. We weren’t told enough about the buggy to the metro, so it was hard to know when it ran or how it worked. The ground-floor concierge was hardworking and helpful, but seemed to be handling luggage, driving the buggy, and assisting guests all at once. That could slow service when it’s busy. There were also lots of mosquitoes in the ground-floor lobby, perhaps because of the nearby water features, which made waiting there uncomfortable. Better communication and mosquito control would improve the experience.

We spent 7 nights here for work and leisure. The room was spacious enough for me, my husband, and our 1 child, and the food was delicious with plenty of choices. They kindly prepared an early breakfast package for my fast. The shuttle to the nearest MRT runs every hour, which made planning our routes easier. All the staff were welcoming and helpful.
