Lilac Relax Residence

I've stayed here twice and would recommend it if you want a decent room near the airport without spending much. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, the air conditioners work well, and the water pressure and temperature are good. Linens and towels were clean and in good shape. There's also an outdoor garden area where you can sit and relax. The receptionist speaks pretty good English and is helpful with questions or anything you need. Shared airport pickup and drop-off costs 150 baht. It's not much of a bargain compared with a private taxi, but still reasonable. Although it's close to the airport, food options can feel limited if you don't speak Thai. Lat Krabang train station is a 15-20 minute walk away, which isn't ideal. Otherwise there's not much to complain about. Good value for the money.

We enjoyed our night here. It was easy to arrange the airport shuttle pickup and drop-off, and we liked the snacks included with the room: noodles, cookies, chips, tea, and coffee.

We picked this place because it's close to the airport. Parking, a 150 bat per person airport shuttle, and a reasonably quiet stay were the positives. The decor was very average and the place felt tired and somewhat run down. There was a strange smell in the room, and the hard pillows weren't comfortable.

We've stayed at several hotels near Suvarnabhumi Airport, and in our opinion this is the best. The staff are lovely and very professional, and Room 20 is the one to try to reserve. Lat Krabang is an interesting neighborhood too. Some evenings there's a food market on the grounds of the nearby temple. I believe the airport transfer is a low fee of 150 Baht per person, but check. Or take the airport train to Lat Krabang station and walk about 30 minutes to Lilac Relax Residence. We usually walk there on arrival and use their airport drop-off for the return. This is one of those hotels that soon feels like a second home. Enjoy!
