I spent a month here, and it wasn’t worth it. The corridors are badly maintained, and it seems they may go two weeks without cleaning. You can see other residents’ dirt there, including their nails. The apartment is poorly insulated, so a pack of dogs can be heard all night. I also didn’t get my full deposit back. The owner said the bathroom and bedding hadn’t been left clean, but I showed that this wasn’t true and still wasn’t given the rest of the deposit. The irony is that when I checked in, the room itself wasn’t fully cleaned. Avoid this place if you care about your deposit, sleep, or cleanliness.

The one real advantage of Live@Home is that you can rent short term. There aren’t really other apartments with the same setup in the area that you can rent for a couple of months, but you’ll pay dearly for that option. If you want quiet and predictable costs, look elsewhere. Utilities were extremely expensive, around 30% of my monthly rent. A nearby piece of industrial equipment kept switching on and off during the day and especially at night, with loud noises that made sleep difficult. The flimsy windows rattled in the wind like they might fall apart. Sound insulation was poor: I could clearly hear the neighbors’ TV through the wall and the upstairs neighbors flushing the toilet. Around ten stray dogs often barked and howled near the building at night, and walking past them could feel frightening. Cleaning was overpriced. It was advertised as professional, but when I moved in, long black hair was everywhere. It clearly hadn’t been vacuumed, which didn’t seem professional. The hostess is an elderly woman who rarely greets guests. Friendly hosts aren’t a big deal to me, and I assumed she might not be feeling well. Most positive reviews seem to be from Thai guests, who probably tolerate noise better than foreigners.

The landlord was rude and disrespectful. They wanted to charge 2000 baht for cleaning, and when I questioned it, they told me to leave and refunded my deposit on the floor. It was the rudest, meanest landlord I’ve ever dealt with. Think carefully before moving in. It’s not worth it, and the contract seems designed to take as much as possible from your deposit.

The apartment is roomy, with plenty of parking, and our room had good light. It was clean inside and out, and the lift made it easy to come and go. The owner was friendly and polite. Everything seemed well cared for, so please treat the place carefully and keep it clean too. Getting to the BTS takes an online ride, though motorcycle taxis and regular taxis were cheap. I enjoyed staying here and would come back for another vacation. Thank you, Mrs. Owner.
