A great stop for a layover or early flight. The shuttle to the airport is prompt and cheap, the WiFi is strong, and the staff speak English and are excellent and helpful. The room was clean, the shower hot, and breakfast and dinner were both great. There are lots of critters in the bordering Khlong. Sit by the water with coffee and a doobie, and watch the lizards swim, herons hunt, and planes take off. I don’t get the bad reviews. I’d happily stay here anytime, and I’ve been to lots of hotels. There’s a small, pleasant pool for unwinding after a long trip, and the internet was surprisingly good for messages or streaming. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, a real plus for a transit hotel. The hotel is about a 20-minute drive from Suvarnabhumi Airport, so it’s a practical choice for early departures or late arrivals. Dining was mixed. The food was okay, standard fare, and with no real alternatives nearby it served its purpose. Breakfast was passable but not a highlight. The hotel has three separate four-storey buildings and no elevator, so guests with heavy bags or mobility issues should be prepared for stairs. A solid, friendly option if easy airport access and reliable service matter most, and luxury dining or extensive facilities matter less.

The pool is nice and the food is reasonably priced. It’s close to the airport, about 10 minutes when traffic isn’t too bad, and works well for one night, maybe two. I wouldn’t suggest staying longer. The rooms are standard, and there’s no elevator. The front desk staff couldn’t communicate very well in English. They also didn’t reply to my messages or emails before the stay, which made it hard to arrange the airport shuttle. It costs 200 baht, the same as a Grab taxi from the airport. It’s not bad, and perfect for a short stay, just don’t expect the Ritz.

The staff really stood out. They were always friendly, engaging, and professional, and were very accommodating toward my disabled friend, who has mobility issues. I chose this hotel for its price and proximity to the airport, and it was just right for what we needed. It’s affordable, clean, and comfortable, with nothing fancy. The AC worked perfectly, which is essential. The older hotel has three four-storey buildings and no elevators, plus a restaurant and large covered patio. The food was great. Breakfast is a buffet on weekdays, while weekends have menu options for 200tbh. The pool was great in the daily 35/40° heat. This was my first trip to Thailand, April 7 to 27. I booked it on the spur of the moment as part of a return flight and hotel package from Vancouver, B.C., Canada. I’d wanted Phuket, but my disabled 68-year-old friend and roommate wanted Bangkok. If you’re looking for a Hillton or somewhere upscale, this isn’t it. If you like an older, nostalgic feel that feels like Thailand, then definitely. Richard & Hai Room B105
