Marriott Vacation Club at The Empire Place

We spent a week here as a family. The taxi from the BTS station to the hotel charged us double the usual fare, which was a bit of a problem. The hotel team, from the gate security guards to reception and housekeeping, were incredibly friendly. I couldn’t fault them.

From arrival right through to departure, the staff paid close attention to what we needed and made us feel special. We’ve traveled a lot and haven’t been treated this nicely anywhere else. Rose, Wilson, Cute, Film, Donut, Tony, Patrick and Dear, thank you for everything. The Lowe family won’t forget your hospitality, and we’ll certainly come back. I wish other hotels could match that kind of customer service. We stayed January 30 to Feb 6 2026.

Marriott Vacation appears to be running a few rooms as a hotel or timeshare in a residential condo. That might be fine as an Airbnb if it were allowed, but to me operating a business this way crosses a line. As a guest, I didn’t feel welcome or like I was on vacation. It’s hard to call it a holiday when you feel you’re trampling over someone else’s home.

The staff were really friendly. It’s a spacious unit with a kitchen, washer and dryer, plus a nice fitness center and pool. There are good restaurants nearby, along with a food store and coffee shops.
