Nice Mansion 2 at Rama 9

At 690 baht a night, it’s not expensive, but the room had a lot of problems. The door was awkward to open but usable, and the card slot seemed faulty. It took a while to lock the door, and I thought I might have to change rooms. Even at the lowest setting, the hot water wasn’t hot. The TV only showed static, with a constant buzz and the same show across every channel. The satellite box didn’t work, and there was no remote for it. Haha, so funny. I even tried replacing the batteries in the remote. The air conditioner was set to 17 degrees but only gave a gentle breeze, and the room still wasn’t cool enough. After I’d slept for a while, the power went out, then came back on by itself.

At 690 THB, the room is acceptable and clean, and the bathroom is okay. The bed and sofa had a few stains that wouldn’t wash out. Service was average, and I’m not sure housekeeping is regular during a stay, since my room wasn’t cleaned at all while I was there. You can ask for water at the counter. Wi-Fi needs a password and only works on one device at a time. Most rooms are rented by the month, so you may hear footsteps or other noise. It’s cheap enough for a stay where you don’t expect much.

There’s a hair salon right in front of the mansion. The owner and staff are lovely, very friendly, and provide excellent service. They’re currently offering a grand opening deal at very reasonable prices. 🥰🥰

We’ve stayed here twice because the price feels fair and the rooms are okay. This time, we may stay for up to 14 days.
