The downstairs coffee shop made mornings nicer, their coffee was really good. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. There’s a 300 baht deposit at check-in, which was returned without any trouble. Room cleaning isn’t automatic each day, you have to ask for it, though that didn’t bother me. It was a convenient, comfortable stay, and I’ll come back.

I found this on booking.com, and it turned out even better in person than in the photos. The rooms are very clean, and the entry area has a pleasant smell. I arrived alone around 10 p.m. and a very friendly Thai-speaking security guard checked me in. He was at the gate throughout the night and ready to help. There was a small mix-up because housekeeping hadn’t prepared the room I’d been assigned. I was first taken to an uncleaned room, but the guard helped me move to one that was ready within five minutes. The door has a digital lock, and they give you the password at check-in. There’s a THB 300 security deposit, a list of possible damage charges in the room, and a non-smoking sign. You get a security box, hair dryer, Wi-Fi, work desk, and really good pillows and bed linens. I love the location. It’s hard to find somewhere in Bangkok that’s clean, private, safe, well equipped, and budget friendly on a main road that isn’t crowded or dirty. As a solo female traveler, it felt like a safe haven. I’ll be back.

I’m sorry to leave a bad review, because the room was clean and the location near Iconsiam was good, with the area not too crowded. But one thing really changed my impression. They charged me 300 baht because there was makeup on a small towel, about 30 by 10 cm, saying that was the outside laundry cost. I don’t know Thai laundry prices, but I’d guess it wouldn’t be 100 baht per piece, especially for such a small towel. I was willing to pay, but the charge should have made sense.

It was handy for what I needed to do, right in central Bangkok. The room was large and clean, and the staff were nice. There’s a small restaurant next to the hotel, though it closes at night.
