We arrived at 1am after a seven-hour bus ride and were told by a very rude, disgruntled, unhelpful desk clerk that the booking had been cancelled because I’d done something wrong. I’ve travelled all over the world, and the major booking sites don’t just cancel reservations without notice because of computer glitches. I can’t say exactly what’s going on, but multiple people have reported fully paid Agoda and other bookings being cancelled. It looks like some kind of scam to me. Maybe they try to get people to pay extra in person, or count on guests leaving without requesting a refund. The staff also wanted to use our phone behind a barrier to check the booking confirmation. I’m not sure what their plan was, but be careful they don’t try to install viruses.

The room rate was reasonable for a short stay, and the staff were really nice and helpful. They spoke good English too. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned thoroughly, though, and the sink overflowed easily. We also had one or two mosquitoes flying around the room.

I waited more than an hour to check in, even though we had our booking number and all the necessary details. The receptionist still wouldn’t give us the room. She was extremely rude and disrespectful, and the service was terrible. One of my worst customer service experiences. I strongly advise people to avoid this hotel.

The room was filthy, dusty, and had hair and trash all over. Terrible hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

There was hair on the pillow on our first night, and the towel by the bathroom entrance was filthy. The room was dirty when we checked in. Reception said it would be cleaned the next day, but it still wasn’t. There wasn’t any hand soap or shampoo either. You have to buy the soap and bring your own shampoo.
