Nice Palace Hotel

The room was roomy, with no strange smells, and you couldn’t hear much through the walls. The furniture’s old, but that seemed fine to me. They replace the towels and bed sheets daily, and the price matches the quality.

I found a cheap rate on trip. com. For a little over $20, I got a roomy double with a fridge, complimentary water, and a balcony. There are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants nearby, and the hotel sits in a quiet residential village. The nearest MTR station is about a 600-700 meter walk. The Wi-Fi didn’t work in my room, so I had to work from a coffee shop, which kept me from rating the place higher. It’d be fine for a vacation, though. No pool, but there’s a spa downstairs.

At check-in, the receptionist seemed displeased when I left my passport as the deposit because I didn’t have cash. The process was slow, and she came across as unfriendly. The front desk service needs work.

The door window is above the bed, and when it gets windy it rattles loudly, so I couldn’t get a good night’s sleep. There were lots of little insects around, and ants came in through the open room window. I’d had some food the night before checkout, and got a little on the bed and towel. They kept my deposit because of that. There are a lot of animals around the area too. It seemed alright at first, but I wouldn’t book here again. Good luck!!
