ZEN Rooms Suthisan Hotel

Sutthisan MRT connects to all the good lines, and the location works perfectly for what we need. There are cheap, excellent local lunch spots and stalls nearby, and the hotel feels very safe and secure. It’s now my go-to hotel, with very clean rooms and helpful service. My one downside is that the internet is very slow on the second or third floor.

The room was exceptionally clean, and the cleaning lady did a fabulous job. The local market right beside the hotel is a real gem, in such an authentic area. Staff were kind and polite, and the night shift front desk attendant was especially thoughtful. When we came back late, she made sure we had bottled water and let us eat our street-bought snack in the lounge, even though it’s usually closed at night. Those small personal touches are something five-star hotels couldn’t compete with.

Being just a two-minute walk from the underground MRT station makes it easy to reach on foot. The hotel is tucked in a little alley behind a busy day market, so getting food during the day is simple. At night, though, the neighborhood gets quiet and there isn’t much around. It can be hard to reach by car during the day because of the market. A quite decent small hotel in Bangkok, and moderately priced.

The location is convenient if you’re going shopping, and the hotel is clean with basic facilities. We paid 900 baht a night, but still felt like we were begging for tissues they’d forgotten to provide. The staff were unfriendly. If you have back pain, I wouldn’t stay here, as the mattress is only normal quality.
