The staff’s response made an already uncomfortable stay worse. They avoided cooperating, delayed the refund, and acted aggressively when we tried to sort things out. A basic guesthouse can be simple or budget-friendly, but guests shouldn’t have to argue for cleanliness or be treated as the problem for reporting insects. I strongly recommend avoiding this property. There are plenty of simple places in Bangkok that respect basic hygiene and guest safety, and this one failed on both. We found cockroaches and lizards within minutes of entering, around the desk, entrance, toilet, and bathroom. We reported it right away, but a staff member just tried to sweep a cockroach away with a broom. We asked for another room and got no acceptable solution at the time. Since it was late, we had to stay overnight in a room that didn’t feel fit for guests. We couldn’t sleep and felt extremely uncomfortable. The next day, they said cleaning and pest control would be done, but there were still cockroaches when we returned. The alternative room they later offered had similar problems, which made it clear this wasn’t limited to one room. This was a failure of hygiene, guest care, and responsibility.

Guests shouldn’t be expected to put up with insects or argue for a basic solution. Cleanliness is the bare minimum, not a luxury, and I’d tell other travelers to think carefully before booking here. I was staying with a friend, and shortly after we arrived we saw cockroaches and lizards in the room and bathroom. They were plainly visible and disturbing, not a minor or exaggerated issue. We told the staff immediately, but their response wasn’t professional. Trying to remove one cockroach with a broom doesn’t make a room clean or safe. We asked for a proper solution, but the problem wasn’t handled well. We couldn’t relax, and even after the property said cleaning or pest control would happen, it didn’t feel resolved. The property made the process more stressful instead of taking real responsibility.

The location is awesome, and the room is okay. The bathroom feels a bit sad, and they ask for quite a big cash deposit for the room.

There was a bug in the room, and I was given a room that looked clearly older than the one advertised. The listing on Agoda explicitly specified a window, but my room had none. Clearly disappointed.
