O'shea's Sukhumvit Bangkok

We keep coming back here. The food we've tried has all been really good, especially the Thai dishes, and the drinks are well priced with a great happy hour. There's also a rooftop section that seems strangely underused. It's one of those places where only people in the know seem to find it, and now you do too!

This has become my regular Bangkok bar since the Kiwi bar in Soi 8 closed. Jason is still the manager and runs things well, though you don't see much of him these days. It's a good place for a Kilkenny or Guinness, along with other well-known beers and a decent range of local ones. The Irish beers are imported, so the exchange rate makes them pricier than back home. There are good food deals, Sunday roasts, and some nice breakfast choices. Plenty of TVs carry sports from around the world.

The drinks were good, the service was excellent, and the location was ideal. They had loads of sport on TV, and I'd come back. I did enjoy the food, though my steak seemed like it had been broken into tiny pieces and put back together.

Decent food, really good service, and the staff are great. They show all the Premier League games. But calling this an Irish bar is mostly in the name. They can't pour a Guinness properly, so watch out for the spoon. I came in for the Celtic game and was told it was only on in the supporters club upstairs, which was fully booked. It wasn't on any TV in the main bar, so I went next door.
