Be careful. Check-in happens at another hostel, where they ask for either a 500 baht key deposit or your passport. Do not leave your passport. I was unlucky and lost the 500 baht. When I checked out, nobody was at reception, and my emails and messages got no reply. The room felt like a bunker, and the photos are fake. Do not stay here!

There was barely anything in the room besides a bed and a couple of side tables. No fridge, kettle, mirror or bin, and there wasn't even toilet paper when we arrived. The room was dirty, the beds were hard, and the pillows felt like cardboard. The toilet wouldn't flush. We reported it and someone came to look, but we still had to use the shared toilet, which I think was the only working one in the building. There's no reception, so check-in is down the street. We had to do that in a downpour, and then the key wouldn't open the door. Someone from the hostel next door let us in with the code. We've travelled around Asia a lot, and this may be the worst room we've stayed in. I really can't recommend it.

A good fit for younger solo travelers or couples, but I wouldn't recommend it to families with kids. We stayed a few days as a couple and had no trouble with the staff or the room. Check-in was quick, and the A/C, shower and everything else worked. Khaosan Road is only a few minutes away, so the location isn't bad, but there's no BTS nearby. You'll still need a bike or taxi to get around efficiently. The bathroom is very small, with the shower and toilet together. There wasn't a fridge in our room, though I think there was one in the shared room.

The location was great, but the room was nothing like the photos and badly needed changes to bring it back to that condition. We arrived at 6:00am and waited until 8:00am for staff. Then we were told the keys were in another building, so we waited until 9:00am for someone there. After that, they said we'd have to wait until 3pm for the room to be cleaned. The room after cleaning is shown below. I paid for a stay and felt like I was homeless. There was broken, ripped furniture on the balcony, broken door handles, and a terrible bathroom with a broken tap. The host didn't reply when we needed them.

I stayed for two weeks, and nobody ever came to clean my room. The bedsheets and blanket were filthy, with footprints and food sauce on them. When I asked for clean sheets, the reception lady punched me in the face, called me stupid and crazy, and said they were clean even after I showed her pictures. She attacked me twice and was rude and lazy, always on her phone. Her first message on Line was telling me to check out and leave. There was no hot water, and the shower pressure was very low. They told me to bathe at another facility they own, 300 meters away. The bathroom was dirty, with mosquitos coming through the air vent. The reception fridge didn't work, and the wifi was down for days because the reception lady was too lazy to pay the bill. She wouldn't bring towels or sheets, so she told me to get them myself. When I went to their special room for clean towels, she got angry and even took some toilet paper I'd picked up for my room. She also refused to give me soap. They never let me speak with the manager or ask for a refund. I wish authorities would shut this place down. There are so many other things I've forgotten. Stay away!
