I paid for a room with a kitchen and refrigerator, but was shown an ugly, old room without either. The old AC only blew hot air. Since it was New Year’s, I’m sure they were giving the best rooms to locals, even though I booked through Airbnb. The front desk worker didn’t know what Airbnb was and couldn’t speak English, so she called the host and I had to speak with her. I think the host is running a scam to avoid government taxes on an Airbnb in the condo. She offered a small discount and said the proper room would be ready in a day, but I think that was only because I’m a foreigner. The toilet looked like this when I arrived. “The land of smiles” feels like a joke: they smile at you but only see a dollar bill. It’s more like the land of shopping malls. I’d give zero stars if I could, and I’m considering reporting them to the police. I’ve posted this here and will report it to Airbnb too. They should have given me what I paid for.

This was the worst experience of my life. I booked this hotel in a hurry when I needed to show proof of where I’d be staying on arrival. The staff were unfriendly, the room was horrible, and the toilet door lock didn’t work. The toilet tap had a meter installed. The room cost far too much for what it was, and the service was zero.

The hotel is good and the rooms are great, but one staff member ruined my stay. Booking said checkout was at 12 p.m., yet at 10:45 a.m. a man came yelling that I had to leave by 10 a.m. That time wasn’t posted anywhere. He kept insisting and shouting throughout the hotel. Whoever was working on 03/6/2024 should not be responsible for managing a hotel.

I booked the hotel and paid a deposit, but they refused to let me check in unless I paid another 500thb. Because the hotel is remote, most customers probably have little choice. I had my own vehicle, so I left. Booking support later admitted the mistake, but the next morning I was charged the remaining amount anyway. The receptionist was VERY RUDE and seemed kind of hysterical. This is the fault of both Booking and OYO!

It’s cheap, which was why I picked it while trying to keep my spending down. The people are nice, and the area feels really safe. Getting around is easy enough: there’s a motorbike a short walk away, then the BTS gets you all over the place.
