The Little Cottage 47

The family who own this place are genuinely generous. They take care of everything for your stay. It's small for two people, but I think it’s enough for a couple of days. They provide snacks, tea, coffee, milk, water, noodles and biscuits throughout your stay. In the shared area there’s a bigger fridge, microwave, kettle, iron and ironing board, as well as a small fridge in the room. The aircon, hot water, bedding and other little facilities are very good. If you want a small prepared meal, there are two places nearby. Little C is on the main road to the right, across the road, with plenty of choices. The meals there are tasty and amazing. About 100 metres away to the left, on the same side of the main road, there’s a Seven 11. I haven’t been in, but assume the food is pretty good. The location is the only small downside for some people. It's close to the airport, which is handy, but Bangkok traffic can be hard to deal with.

After seven months of travel, I’ve never had a room this cozy. The owner was just as lovely, extremely friendly and helpful. He drove me to the skytrain at 6 am, checked several times if he could do anything for us, and even invited us to try the mango sticky rice his mother had made. There’s an amazing refreshment station too, with much more than tea and coffee: cookies, noodles, water, toilet paper, real milk and plenty more. Such an amazing stay!

The owner was so friendly, and even took me to the night market with his lovely family. He also helped me plan the rest of my trip. The room was cute and quiet, and there’s a nice shared lounge with food, drinks, a sofa, and books. From Hua Mak, you can walk from the airport link or train station, either by the canal in daylight if you’re feeling adventurous or along the main roads. There’s a small shop outside the house, with a convenience store not far away.

The common area is pretty small, but the stay itself was awesome: quiet, relaxing, and peaceful. If you need a break from the city noise in BKK, Thailand, The littled Cottage 47 is a good place to try. Sometimes strangers give you the kind of kindness you weren’t expecting, and that can take away some stress and leave you with a wonderful, unforgettable memory. I loved it. 🏡
