Yotaka The Hostel @Bangkok

The beds were comfy, and the hotel was quiet and clean. The AC struggled during the day but was fine at night, and they forgot to clean the bathroom after I asked. In my opinion the location isn’t the best. Staff don’t speak English, though they always have a nice smile. The price feels a bit high for what you get. It works for a quiet stay or a local vibe, but not for nightlife.

The room was a good size, the bathroom and shower were good, and the staff were friendly. The hotel’s location is ok, right by the road, so there’s a bit of noise. The room had a somewhat musty smell.

The room was incredible and the aircon worked well. I only stayed one night, but it was fab, with an amazing pool, good breakfast, and lovely staff. Breakfast could use some work for customers with allergies or intolerances. Booking was easy but time consuming. It’s 10 mins from a food complex with a mix of local and general foods. The journey took a while because Friday night traffic was heavy. I’d recommend it, and big thanks to the residence as well.

There are plenty of places to eat around the hotel, and breakfast was good. It’s very clean and cosy, with quite friendly staff, though communicating in English can be difficult. We accidentally booked dates one month later, and they kindly gave us a room for the same price. The main drawback is how far it is from the city center. Around 10pm on a Friday, 8 or 9 taxi drivers refused to take us back. We only got a taxi after asking the receptionist at a big hotel to find one, and the fare was relatively high.
