The Wi-Fi was the one letdown, it was really slow. Otherwise, this was a great stay. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean, the AC worked well, and the bed was super soft, which was perfect for foreigners. There’s a big pool, great staff, and a nice restaurant across the way. It’s easy to park if you arrive by car, and you can walk to Central. Mega Bangna and Ikea are close too.

I spent a night here before heading back to MYS. The room was clean and okay, just a standard hotel room. It’s a bit far from central Bangkok, though, with no nearby area for eateries or entertainment.

The free shuttle to the main road was a handy extra, making it easy to get to nearby malls and convenience stores. Orion Hotel also has spacious rooms for the price and a genuinely comfortable bed. Breakfast is a local-style a la carte meal for 150 baht, with free-flow drinks and bread. It’s not a full buffet, but the quality and choice felt satisfying for the cost. For a budget stay with comfort, it’s a good value option. Just be ready to pay the deposit in cash or leave your passport, since they don’t take cards for it.

The rooms feel new and have a lot in them, including a kitchen and a small living area. Staff and service were amazing. At night they even offered to drive me to the 711, though it’s only a five-minute walk. There’s a rooftop bar and restaurant onsite that’s pretty good, and a very nice gym. The place has a low-key luxury feel, better than high-end hotels in Siam. It was a wonderful stay, and better than certain four-star Bangkok hotels that push guests for good ratings to boost their rankings. Those places have less than a quarter of what orion hotel offers.
