OYO 618 At Khaosan Hostel

Being so near Khao San road was convenient, but I was disappointed by the place. It didn't look or feel as good as the Hostelworld photos and reviews made it seem. It's a budget hostel, but I think you can get much better for this price. The AC only ran from 8pm to 9am, which made it hard to rest before going out after a flight. Just my opinion, hope it helps. The staff were great and set up activities and walks, and breakfast was included. You can also leave your backpack after checkout for 30 baht, and there's a printer if you need one. Free WiFi reaches everywhere. Dorm beds have curtains for privacy, plus a lamp, locker, and covers. The dorms and private room were nice and clean, with a shared bathroom. It's about a 10-minute walk from Khaosan road, close enough to reach easily without the noise and high prices.

The staff treated me like a friend, always ready to help or make me feel better. I felt at home here. The hostel is also well placed for visiting the Old Town and Kaosan Road. When I come back to Bangkok, this will be my hostel again.

I liked the covered beds in the dorm and found the staff friendly. The location is handy, close to the main road. I only stayed one night, and at first I thought there were too many rules, but they turned out to be normal and weren't a problem. The shared bathroom wasn't as nice, though. Water on the floor made it feel dirty.
