OYO 75577 Palace Hostel

The location is good, two minutes on foot to the nearest 7/11, and 8 to 10 minutes to Punnawithi BTS and the local restaurants on Sukhumvit 101. You can get a meal there for around 50 to 150 Baht. There’s also an excellent small Isaan restaurant. But I had to pay an extra 100 Baht per night for a ground floor room under the table, with no receipt. My room was dusty and dirty, the bedsheets were torn, the pillowcase had holes, and there was garbage from the previous guest under the headboard. I had to clean that up myself. The minibar fridge had leftover food, black grease and stains, which I cleaned myself too. The shower gel was half used with no cap when I checked in. During my 7 days there, they did no cleaning and changed no towels, toilet paper or sheets unless I asked once. Breakfast cost 80 Baht for two eggs and four slices of toast, with no jam, butter, coffee, juice or water offered. Better to go to Sukhumvit 101, where for 50 to 80 Baht you can get nice noodles, plus juice for 15 to 20 Baht. Dinner, Bangladesh style, was 120 Baht for overcooked rice, a few chicken legs with almost no meat and four miserable tomato slices. A rip off. I could say more, but for almost 700 Baht without breakfast you can find cleaner places with service.
