Parvena Hotel

At $46, this didn’t feel like good value. The room was ridiculously small, the cable TV didn’t work, and the bed was hard as a rock. I was staying in the area for a meeting, but if you’re a western traveler, you can find better by looking around.

The room had the facilities listed, but it looked much older and more dated than the photos. The location is fairly good for the area, with bus stops nearby, though it was extremely noisy all night, either from traffic or the neighbours. Staff seemed friendly before we arrived, but we didn’t have good interactions during the stay. We asked three different times for the promised free shuttle and were told to take a taxi each time. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it.

There are lots of little restaurants nearby, and the area itself was very quiet. We spent one night here and found the room clean, well kept, and well equipped, with a comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and helpful too.

One of my best stays in Bangkok. The staff were great and the rooms clean and spacious. It’s a busy local area with relatively few tourists, so prices were good, and the location worked perfectly for me.
