The room was a reasonable size, with a balcony, and the kitchenette and bathroom were reasonably clean. There are lifts serving all of the roughly six floors. The location is very central, with the BTS about a 12-15 minute walk away. Grab taxis and bikes can easily pick up from a spot that’s easy to find. The airport fare was around 300 baht, plus 70 baht for the highway toll, which I guess is normal. The nearby 7-11, which isn’t part of the hotel, is a nice convenience and has most things. Reception staff only arrive later in the afternoon, so it isn’t staffed around the clock. Given the location and easy access, I’d recommend it for a quick stay like ours.

The room was clean, and the area stayed pretty quiet. I liked having two beds and a balcony for a breeze, so I didn’t need the AC. The staff handled requests quickly and did a nice job. It’s also close to public transport and good restaurants. Bangkok’s a huge tropical city, and basic infrastructure issues aren’t the hotel’s fault. For this price, I’m not sure what more to expect. I’d stay here again.

If you’re coming to Bangkok to explore the city without spending much on a hotel, Pentafield City Residence could suit you. It’s a clean budget place, an easy walk from On Nut BTS, and the rooms are spacious, with induction stoves and mini refrigerators. The staff I met were friendly and professional. My one concern is the front desk: there’s no hotel representative after 5 p.m., only a security guard. If you arrive late, the guard can give you your room key. It won’t be the right fit for everyone.

The smell of spices from what I guessed was Indian food in the next room was so strong I couldn’t sleep. I’m writing this at 1:50 a.m. At least there’s a 7-Eleven nearby. 😷🥴

I’ve been staying here for a while and find it really comfortable and convenient. The staff are lovely, too. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in Bangkok, and I’d recommend it to other visitors.
