The owner gave clear, accurate directions for getting there, and the room was clean and quiet. We stayed here between flights, and it was a 10-minute walk from the airport.

Finding the place took some effort, so look for the hostel zzz. Once there, check-in and check-out were easy. The beds and pillows were really comfortable, and the shower was great.

The room was clean, and I had a very comfortable stay here during my transit from Tokyo to Phuket. It’s a simple, relaxing area, quieter than central Bangkok, though not silent. If your room faces the road, traffic might bother you, so earplugs could be useful. The owner and staff are friendly, and most communication is through LINE. The hostel is about a 10-minute walk from Don Mueang Airport, which made getting to and from the airport easy without transport costs. It used to be called zzz Hostel, and that sign is still up from its former name. Like me, some people seem to recognize it as “zzz.” There used to be dorms, but now there are just six rooms. I had a double room with mineral water and enough bath towels for my stay. Shampoo and body soap are the only toiletries, so bring your own if you need more. I brought a toothbrush, too. The hairdryer is in the shared space and should be returned after use. It’s an unmanned hostel, and you enter with a passcode sent in advance. Security is good, but remember to take your phone with you when you go out, or you may not know the code to get back in. There’s a basic self-serve breakfast with bread, coffee, tea, and fruit. There are also plenty of cheap, tasty local food shops nearby, so eating out is a good option. For me, this is my top place to stay in Bangkok. I can recommend it with confidence.

We booked one night through Agoda and paid upfront. The reservation was confirmed, but the hotel canceled it the day before we were due to arrive, without explanation or notice. We only realized after seeing the money refunded to our credit card, and at first thought it was a mistake. When we tried to book again, the price was much higher. Having to find another room at the last minute was a real inconvenience. Be careful, it seems other people have had similar problems according to Google reviews. We felt like we were being scammed.
