I booked in the Onnut area at a reasonable price expecting basic comfort, but the room had ants in the bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. Noise from neighboring rooms, including loud snoring, came through clearly, and the shower stayed lukewarm with no way to adjust it. I wanted to leave straight away, but the staff couldn’t help or fix anything, so I stayed the night and left early the next morning. I was told the refund might take up to 45 days. A month later it still hadn’t arrived, so I had to ask my credit card company for a chargeback. I wouldn’t stay here again even if I were paid to.

For the price and location, this is a good hotel. The restaurants were great but pricey, and there are lots of other food options right on the street. Reception and service were really helpful. The airport taxi they offered was 500thb, though Grab was 287thb. Our unit was clean at check-in, with a washer/dryer that worked well. They charge 80thb for detergent, so we brought our own. The high ceilings make the rooms spacious, with the bed in an upstairs loft and living space below. The main snag was the air conditioning: it was over 40 when we arrived, and it took a long time to cool down. There are only two small elevators, and they take a while.

The room was decent and the location is great, but the service made this a two-star stay at best. At check-in, staff ignored me while looking at a phone. Then my room key didn’t work. I’d been assigned a suite on the 18th floor, and with only two elevators, it took about seven minutes each way just to get back down for another keycard and up again to the right floor. Calling “0” was no use. I tried several times during the day and nobody answered. I didn’t want to go all the way back down to the M floor for help, especially with the long queues, and the ground floor isn’t where you check in. The room was missing basic information you’d expect, like a menu or an amenities list. The only paper there was about purchasing a unit in the hotel and its return on investment. I wouldn’t stay again, even for free.

I came with my family and my 8month old baby, and it was my first time there, so I didn’t know the place. The moment I stepped into the lobby, the whole hotel smelled strongly of pee and alcohol. There was a bottle of alcohol thrown on the elevator floor, with liquid spilled everywhere. Nobody helped with our bags or seemed interested in helping. Seeing that, I didn’t think the hotel was suitable for our baby or family. We had booked five nights and asked to cancel the rest, keeping one night deducted and getting the balance back because of the situation. The hotel first told us to contact the booking agent. The agent said a refund would be possible if the hotel approved it. After we went back to the hotel, they made us wait five hours for an answer. By then it was night, and after what I’d seen I couldn’t trust the hygiene enough to let my baby sleep there. We explained we were in a difficult situation, but they ignored us, so we had to leave. Later they called to say there would be no refund and it wasn’t their problem. We were charged for all five nights despite not staying even one. If you’re looking for a welcoming, clean, family-friendly hotel with some humanity, this isn’t the place.
