Samsensam Place Hotel

This is a decent basic hotel with private rooms. We had lots of luggage and were first assigned the fourth floor, but the staff saw that and moved us to the first floor. There’s no elevator, so we appreciated the help. You can buy snacks and drinks at reception, and there are lots of fun things near Khao son road and the surrounding area. It’s also close to the river, where you can catch the ferry to temples and other places.

Khaosan Road is just around the corner, but the hotel sits on a quiet side street. We also found it easy to reach on a charming bus from the airport. Our triple room was just right for our two-night stay, and breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit and eggs. We’d definitely like to come back.

We booked eleven days without knowing what the hotel would be like, and after two nights, we don't regret it. The quiet is real, the beds are comfortable, the showers have strong water pressure, and the breakfast is very complete. Everyone has been friendly, and they offer some interesting services. I also love the tasteful decorations, with sculptures and plants all along the paths through the old wooden house. I do wish the piano were tuned and moved somewhere people could actually play it.

We had a terrible one-night stay, and I’m glad we only booked one day. The rooms looked nothing like the pictures and were very old, with lots of mosquitoes. When we complained, they only told us to buy repellent spray ourselves and offered no help. The rooms aren’t soundproof, so you can hear everything. The shared bathrooms were clean, but I think there are better places to stay. It wasn’t worth it at all.
