We stayed for a month, and would happily choose this hotel again on our next trip. The staff were all polite, friendly, and ready to help. The room matched the booking photos, and the neighborhood was quiet. There’s a 7-Eleven just 50 meters away, and the BTS is about 1 km from the hotel, so getting around was convenient. Thanks for a great stay!

We’d happily recommend Shin Patara for the price. The apartment was clean, spacious, and newly refurbished, and the nearest BTS is a 15-minute walk. Reception staff were pleasant and usually at the desk. Parking was available, though I’m not sure whether there’s an extra charge. They required a 300 Baht cash deposit. Our apartment, 307, had ants whenever food was left on the kitchen counter. Ant repellent might fix that. The shower corners could use a more thorough clean, as scum and mould were starting to build up in the tile grout. There were two air conditioners in the one-bedroom flat, one in the living area and one in the bedroom. It also had a nice street-facing balcony, a good-sized smart TV, hair dryer, and fridge. Daily quick cleaning, towel changes, and water bottles were provided when requested.

The free coffee machine and snacks were available all the time, which was a real help on this trip. The metro is about a 15-minute walk away, there’s a 7-Eleven right beside the hotel, and plenty of local food nearby to try. My stay was pleasant and comfortable. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the front desk staff were polite and extremely helpful. They spoke good English, so communicating was easy. It’s a quiet place and good value for money. I’d recommend it and would love to come back.

The staff were warm and attentive, and the convenient location made things easy. My room was very clean and comfortable, and everything felt well looked after. I didn’t expect this much comfort and service. It was a smooth, relaxing stay, and I’d recommend the place and gladly return.

The bathroom drainage was a problem throughout my stay. The shower floor didn’t slope properly, so water collected around my feet, which felt unhygienic. Maintenance was called, but they said it was “normal” and left it unresolved. The bigger issue was my passport. At check-in, one front desk staff member took it to make a copy and never returned it. During my four-night stay, nobody told me it was being kept at reception or tried to give it back. On checkout day, I had checked out and was waiting in the lobby to call a taxi for my flight when I realized it was missing. I searched all my luggage there before asking reception, and only then learned they’d had it the whole time. In a country like Thailand that gets many foreign tourists, keeping someone’s passport after copying it without making any effort to return it is serious. The staff member didn’t apologize or properly explain what happened, just briefly said it had been “on the desk.” There was another issue when I asked for an extra room key after extending my stay. The same staff member explained the fee in English that was very hard to understand because of a strong accent. I only understood that it was a deposit, and checked by asking, “Deposit?” They didn’t correct me and handed over the key. At checkout, I was told the 100 baht was a non-refundable card issuance fee, and they refused a refund. If that had been explained clearly, I wouldn’t have asked for the extra key. I travel internationally often and have visited Thailand more than 12 times, staying in places from 3-star to 5-star hotels. I’ve never had a passport handled this way or been charged a non-refundable issuance fee for an extra room key. The passport mishandling and unresolved 100 baht charge spoiled my return day on December 31, 2025. Of all the problems, the way my passport was kept without an apology or explanation was the least acceptable. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had.
