We were unsure about staying in a hostel with our two-year-old daughter, but having our own room and bathroom worked perfectly and made us comfortable. The hostel was spotless and well kept, and also quiet and surprisingly private. The location was convenient while still peaceful, which suited traveling with a small child. Our host was very kind, responsive, and helpful with everything we needed. We had an amazing stay and would absolutely come back. 10/10, thank you for a wonderful stay.

The room itself was beautiful, roomy, clean, and just right for what I needed, with an en-suite and a very large shower. I own a hostel in edinburgh Scotland, and this place was a long way better than mine. If I need to stay in that area again, I'd definitely come back. Fantastic place, highly recommend, five stars from me. Seeing “hostel” above the door made me worry at first. The tricky part was self check-in: there were three separate doors between me and my room, each with a 6 digit code. I got the hang of it eventually, though at 58 I'm not great with that sort of thing.

From my own experience, this was terrible. There’s no reception desk, so you have to handle everything yourself. Nothing was good: the bathroom was shared, there wasn’t even one bottle of water, and the room was extremely dirty and had absolutely nothing in it. 250 baht would be a more suitable price.

I booked the Standard Twin Room for four nights but stayed for three. The room had new, clean facilities after a recent renovation, but this property felt like a hostel to me, and there’s a “HOSTEL” sign outside. Saphan Taksin on the BTS Silom Line is the closest station, about 1 km away. Walking there in the midday heat is tiring, so the local bus, which costs 8 baht without air conditioning, may be a better choice. There are two price options that can be confusing: Twin Room with Private External Bathroom is the cheaper one, while Standard Twin Room costs more. I chose the second option, but in reality both refer to the same room. There’s only one twin room at the property, and its toilet and shower are outside, as they are for the standard twin and double rooms. It's easy to assume the toilet is in the room when it isn't. There’s no staff on site, so you have to contact them by phone, LINE, or WhatsApp if needed. At check-in, the digital lock wouldn't open because the PIN sent by email was wrong. I got in after asking for the right code. The staff member spoke fluent English and replied quickly in chat, which I appreciated. The toilet, shower, and small basin are outside the room, so you have to enter a six-digit PIN followed by “#” every time you use them. If you leave your phone inside and forget the code, you won't be able to get back in or contact staff. Going outside to use the bathroom also means dealing with the heat and mosquitoes. There’s a 1cm gap under the room door, so ants, mosquitoes, and other insects can get in. The air conditioner’s outdoor unit is loud and vibrates. For stays of several nights, they don't change the towels or sheets or clean the room and bathroom daily. If you notify them or ask, they’ll change the room and clean it once during a consecutive stay. The room had no toilet, shower, table, chair, refrigerator, TV, mirror, sink, hair dryer, or trash can. The shared areas had no air conditioning or hair dryer.

The room hadn't been cleaned when I arrived. The owner moved me to another room, and that one was okay.
