Siam Piman Hotel

We were so glad we picked the Eastin Easy when our lease ended and we needed somewhere to stay for a week while our work contract wrapped up. The room was terrific, the price fair, and the location perfect. They also offer airport transport. The female staff, from reception to service, were unbelievably friendly. We booked a couple more days before leaving Thailand and look forward to staying again whenever our travels bring us nearby.

The beds were nice, and there were some decent, entertaining TV channels. It's close to convenience stores, seven eleven and family mart. The breakfast was really not delicious, and the poor quality ingredients made the experience worse, though the eating area itself is nice. The rooms are standard 3-star quality, nothing impressive, but comfortable enough to relax properly.

The hotel is old, but clean and in good condition. My room had dark tones and a large living area with the bed, a small table set for two, and a big couch/daybed separating the spaces. There were lots of windows in the end room, including one in the dining area and a large sliding glass door onto the balcony. The desk sits in a protruding alcove with windows on three sides, which gets very hot for working. In the early morning, sun came through the ill-fitting curtains on the east-facing windows. The basic bathroom is by the entrance, lit by a small covered window overlooking the dining area. It has a shower over the bathtub and needs refurbishment. Toiletries were just refillable liquid soap containers at the shower and sink. The integrated air conditioning was very noisy and dripped water from the vent, so I had to turn it off to sleep. That was okay because it seemed to keep running on a much quieter ventilation system. Across the road, some sort of bird centre had noisy screeching birds that made sure you knew dawn was coming.

The views aren't much, but the price is good. My room was clean and nice, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The AC unit was noisy at night, which was the room's only real downside. The pool area is pleasant and quaint, and the restaurant food was pretty good.
