Siam Tharadol

We came back for a second stay after trying hotels in other parts of town during our short visit. It costs a bit more in Thai currency, but felt very reasonable to me and was the best place we stayed in Bangkok. There’s a clean, nice pool and an exercise room, though we never got to see or use the gym. The most memorable part was what happened after we mentioned we were on our honeymoon. When we returned from a day out, flower petals were spread over the bed, with a plate of lovely dessert and a card congratulating us and saying thank you. The girl at the front desk had arranged it herself. It was the kindest hotel gesture I’ve experienced, and we were so touched that we bought gifts for everyone at the front desk. The front desk staff were wonderful throughout. Driving around the property is very tight because of the layout, even in a small vehicle, and there wasn’t much parking. A courtesy vehicle can take you up the road to the sky train, though I don’t know how far it goes. We used it two or three times. The driver was extremely friendly, a great guy.

The only real downside was the rooster next door. It started crowing at 2 AM and kept going until the next afternoon, so sleep would be difficult if you’re sensitive to noise. That’s not the hotel’s fault. Otherwise, it’s a lovely hotel with large, clean rooms, a gym, and a rooftop pool that gets morning sun. Staff were professional and helpful. I don’t understand complaints about the location, since a map search shows exactly where it is. There’s also a free shuttle down to Bang Chak BTS station.

We had a really good stay. The rooms and facilities were in very good condition, and the staff were kind and helpful. The gym and pool were great, and the hotel is in a quiet location with a shuttle bus to the BTS. Good value for money, and I’d definitely recommend it.
