SILQ Hotel & Residence

The hotel is right on Soi Sukumvit 24, an easy walk from EmQuartier, Emporium, and EmSphere, with plenty of good cafés and places to eat nearby. We skipped breakfast because exploring Bangkok’s food was one of the main reasons for our trip. I chose the Habatoi studio since our son was coming with us. On an earlier visit to Bangkok, I’d used the hotel gym, QLUB, with a day pass and enjoyed the sauna, onsen, and general atmosphere. This time I stayed at the hotel with family. I’d paid ahead for early check-in, and Miss. Kim at reception got us settled quickly. The Japanese-style WC was new to me, and my son enjoyed playing with its controls. The pool and gym are on the eighth floor and open from 6 a.m. The gender-separated sauna and onsen, with a silk bath, hot bath, and cold plunge, open at 9 a.m. and can also be booked for private sessions. Mr. Chris at QLUB was friendly and engaging, as were the other staff I spoke with briefly. Beside the pool there’s a shared area for chess, board games, and reading, with complimentary healthy water, cut fruit, cookies, croissants, and other treats. My son loved the facilities and games on his laptop while we enjoyed the onsen. It’s what you’d expect from a good hotel, and I’d recommend it or consider staying again.

The restaurant upstairs served excellent food, though a few spicy dishes weren’t as hot as I expected. Breakfast was a great buffet with lots of sweet and savory options, and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The location is convenient, with plenty of nearby restaurants and lots of choices in the malls. There’s also a free shuttle to a nearby mall and the BTS. I stayed for two weeks in November, and it was one of my best five-star hotel experiences. Staff were welcoming from the start. At check-in, the woman saw how long I was staying and arranged a room farther from the construction next door, so noise never disturbed me. The room was very clean, and whenever anything needed fixing, someone came quickly. The cleaning staff noticed I drank a lot of water and left extra bottles, and having a washing machine in the room was useful for a longer stay. I ended up returning twice during my Thailand trip, and the place began to feel like a second home. I’ll definitely stay again when I come back. Thanks to all the staff for such a high level of service.

The room was cozy and spacious, with a balcony, and the bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean. Coco and Pu took great care of us and were always willing to help whenever we needed something. They gave us all the advice we needed, and the women at reception were lovely too. We were happy with everything. Thank you both so much again.

EmSphere Mall is only a five to seven minute walk away, and the BTS station is about ten minutes on foot, so it’s easy to get around. SilQ Hotel sits in the heart of Sukhumvit, a lively and convenient part of Bangkok. The rooms are stylish, luxurious, and well maintained, with roomy, comfortable beds and modern facilities. Everything felt clean and thoughtfully designed. The staff were warm and attentive, and made an extra effort for my girlfriend’s birthday by helping me decorate the room and providing a cake. That personal touch made the stay memorable. SilQ combines comfort, a handy location, and great service. I’d happily stay again and recommend it as a real gem in Sukhumvit.
