Near Wongwian Yai Station, so it was easy to get around Bangkok. Zeniq Hotel Bangkok was peaceful and away from the city's crowds, with friendly, helpful staff and clean, spacious rooms that were well maintained. The calm atmosphere made it a relaxing stay. A good-value choice if you want somewhere quiet.

We stayed four nights in a one-bedroom unit. It was spacious, clean, smelled fresh, and was quiet. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the place is close to Taksin station, making it easy to get around and reach iconsiam. The free breakfast was tasty too.

The local area turned out to be a great place to experience everyday life, even though the hotel can seem far away. Wongwian Yai Market on Charoen Rat Road is busy early in the morning, with locals buying breakfast. I liked the fresh cashews, fried fish balls, mini fried dough, and pork fried rice. The fish ball stall can mean a longer wait because locals order several big bags to take away. There's a large 7-Eleven behind the hotel, under a 15-minute walk away on Leab Tang Rodfai Road, near the old train terminus. Take the Soi Somdet Phra Chao Tak Sin 4 lane to the railway track, where the 7-Eleven is. The bed was good if you like semi-firm comfort. The air conditioning gets very cold, but it was noisy at the lowest setting, -18C. Light sleepers should bring earplugs. The hotel is near the main road, so you can hear big vehicles and the BTS passing too. I'd skip the hotel's bland breakfast, which seemed like food just boiled in hot water. For 100 baht each, you can get food at 7-Eleven instead. There's also a nearby chicken rice place that's alright, and a Chinese KLite (Malaysian) restaurant, which you can eat at if there's no other choice. Wongwian Yai BTS is the nearest station. The walkway under the bridge helps protect you from the sun and rain. Nearby are a laundrette, a pub popular with locals, Wat Paknam temple with its famous big Buddha, the Wongwian Yai roundabout memorial, and the roadside Somsak Pu-Ob Seafood stall, not the restaurant. ICONSiam mall and the river pier, Bangkok Sathorn Pier, are also nearby, with Saphan Taksin BTS station at the pier. The last photo was taken on level 9, the Zenniq Hotel rooftop. I'll stay at Zenniq again.

The rooms are spacious and the reception staff were helpful. It's a little out of the way, though there's a station nearby. At first the room looked clean, but close up it needed a proper scrub in the corners and the curtains were grubby. I wouldn't stay again.
