The reception staff were the highlight for me. The women there were lovely and always ready to help. The room was clean, the mattress comfortable, and the air conditioning worked really well, which matters a lot in Bangkok. As a solo traveler, I found it gave me what it promised. For the price, it’s one of Bangkok’s best value choices, and pretty much the only one I found with both a private room and bathroom at that rate. It’s a 2-star hotel, so I think some complaints come from expecting something else. The setting is a little unusual, in a modest area known mostly for carpentry businesses. If you like walking, the old city and Siam are both around 2-3 kilometers away. I walked to Khao San Road, Chinatown, and nearly all the temples. For Siam I took the boat, which gets there in about 3 minutes, though walking is possible too.

For a 2 star hotel, this place is pretty nice. The rooms are clean, there’s AC in each one, and it’s quiet by the canal. You’re right next to local Thai people, and there’s good cheap food around, including pad kraopao for 50B and plenty of 7/11s. I found a good cafe and another very cheap one for 25B beside the hair stylist, where a cut was 100B. The boat station is a 10 minute walk, behind the 7/11, with buses on the corner and markets nearby. Five stars from me for the room, staff, and area. Thanks for the kindness and hospitality ❤️

The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, and check-in went smoothly during my two nights at Smile Inn Hotel. It’s a simple, comfortable, budget-friendly place, and the stay was easy and enjoyable. The main drawback is the distance from the metro, so getting around takes extra time. Still a good quiet option if you don’t mind the commute.

I had a river view and really enjoyed it. The room’s interior felt fairly modern, and it even had a fridge. Nothing fancy, but for the price you get the basics, a clean room, and a nice location. The staff were kind and helpful too. Great for a solo traveler needing one night.

Be careful booking here. I reserved one night and cancelled the same day, but they still charged my card. I hope my bank, Revolut, understands what happened and can refund me. I think they’re scammers.
