Buddy Place

We found bugs as soon as we walked into the room, but the hotel gave us another one. It’s on a street with a few bars and some local restaurants.

We ended up using three rooms over four nights. The room wasn’t well maintained, and we found an insect right after checking in, so staff moved us. The air conditioner was noisy too, but they fixed it and offered us an extra room to sleep in that night. This hotel is under the same association as Aryan suites hotel. I’d recommend staying at Aryan instead, since the rooms there are a bit better.

We rented a motorbike, which made it easy to ride wherever we wanted and return to a quiet place to rest. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the center, away from the traffic noise and pollution of the tourist areas. Receptionists were very attentive. Nearby there are restaurants, roadside food, and a humble pork noodle soup place with good portions and reasonable prices. There’s also a 7/11, bigC, a coconut ice cream shop in front of big C, a petrol station, laundry, and cheap massage shops next door. At the left end of the street, turning left takes you to more restaurants and vegetable, fruit, fish, and meat markets with good prices.

It looks good from outside, but that’s just an illusion. There was rubbish in the corridors. The toilets look very nice but have no power, and the shower has the same problem. The bed wasn’t comfortable, and the doors were always open, so there was no security. Like many places, the owners don’t want to spend even 1 baht on guest comfort.
