The rooms are good and spacious, with a kitchen and living room included. Moto taxis can get you to the MRT in five minutes for 25 baht. The swimming pool is large and has a good view of Bangkok, but parts of the floor around it are broken. The place looks old and not well maintained. All the gym equipment is broken and unusable, and the balconies are covered in pigeon poo and haven't been cleaned.

I spent three months here in spring 2010 during an exchange study program. Sarasinee Mansion has a cozy, hotel-like feel and is fairly high quality without any fuss. Thai and farang students from upper-middle-class backgrounds seem to stay here. The Huay Kwang neighborhood in northern BKK feels cozy, with Chatuchak market, the metro station and busy Huay Kwang Market all fairly close. There are cafés, bars and restaurants nearby, and I especially liked the area around the university of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. A good way to get away from backpacker stress and have a genuine Thai experience.

I paid around 9000 baht, not counting electricity and water, for a stay of a little under four months during my 2013 study exchange. The location worked well: halal food, BTS and Sevel were nearby, there was a coffee shop across the road, and Chatuchak market was about a 10-minute walk away. BIG C supermarket was close too. The officer working there at the time was a little bit not okay, but the place itself was okay.

The internet was bad, but it's a good place to stay and close to MRT.

The price isn't worth it. The building is old and broken, the service was bad, the internet was slow, and it was dirty. Worst place I've been.
