The shower was hot and had good pressure, and the place was clean, with great service and a good location. She even got up at 3:45 am to check me out. There’s no elevator, so maybe skip the big leg workout the day before unless you’re into climbing stairs. If you are, there’s a massage place right around the corner.

Netflix was a nice surprise, and the place was clean and comfortable. It’s close to the train station, so getting around town is easy. There are four levels and no elevator, which was fine for me, though there was some road noise. Definitely recommend.

The price is good for what you get. It’s close to the BTS, and the place seemed very clean, with a comfortable bed. The street gets noisy at night, and the internet was unstable and too slow for YouTube. Still good value.

The place is very clean and the service is excellent, but carrying two 50 lb pieces of luggage up four floors without an elevator was a hike. I didn’t deduct stars for that, though. I needed the exercise anyway. I took off two stars for the early morning noise and because the posted photos look a little better than reality. There’s traffic noise, which comes with being close to everything, and the pictures are what they are. The bigger nuisance is a traffic cop wannabe across the road at the Singapore Anglo School. Starting around 6:30 am every morning, he blows his whistle forcefully at everything that moves, or doesn’t, pretty much nonstop. After watching him, I still don’t see why it’s needed. Obnoxious comes to mind. Maybe the hostel management can do something about it, good luck with that. Don’t expect to sleep past 6:30 am, even with earplugs.
