I was there during the Bangkok earthquake, after it had taken a long time to find somewhere to stay. I checked in close to 9 PM and still had to check out before noon. The room price had been reduced from 1,000 to 900. The staff gave me little information and weren’t very friendly. There were dark stains on the bed, a bad smell, and no amenities. The air conditioning didn’t cool the room. At night I kept hearing a ‘thud’ like doors opening and closing, along with constant noise from the room above me. I was on the 4th floor, and the staircase felt scary. I barely slept.

We liked the clean, tidy, modern rooms. They’re simple, which suited us, and the price was fair since we didn’t need extra stuff. The helpful staff even carried our luggage up, as there’s no elevator and the stairs are steep. The WiFi could be better, though 5G mobile internet is cheap and widely available.

We booked a double bedroom at the last minute in March 2023, after checking out very early from another hotel because its security was poor. This place was quiet and convenient for the affordable price, and felt like a low-density stay. I’d recommend it for a quiet stay with easy access to things. The area itself isn’t rowdy, despite the nearby amenities. There’s a cafe across the street, and walking left brings you to massage parlours, local cafes and restaurants, and a 7 Eleven. Lumphini station is about a 15-minute walk away. Check-in was easy and the lady was very helpful. The hotel is in an apartment complex with a security post at the gate. The door past reception needs a key card and stays locked 24/7, while the lobby’s front sliding door is open all the time. Our spacious room smelled fresh and was clean, including the toilet. The sheets were soft and the blanket fluffy. There was only one console table and no wardrobe, but that was fine. The industrial staircase felt scary going up and down, though it wasn’t a big deal. There’s a smoking area, but it closes at night and has no table or view, so you end up standing there awkwardly.

The woman at the counter was extremely rude and unsympathetic. The stairs are very steep, with hardly any space for your feet. The internet was poor, and rooms facing the road are likely to be noisy. The bed corners are sharp and could hurt you if you’re not careful. Poor toilet ventilation also leaves the room smelling worse after using it. I’d choose any budget hostel in Sukhumvit over this place.
