I’m warning people about the airport pickup offer because my experience with the hotel and Agoda left me feeling unsafe and out of pocket. I paid for a non-refundable room because the hotel advertised airport pickup for an extra charge, and I chose it for that service. I messaged the hotel through Agoda chat and emailed them after booking, but got no answer for three days. I tried again, waited another 24 hours, and still heard nothing. I contacted Agoda, explained that the hotel wasn’t responding, and asked for a refund if they couldn’t reach them. Agoda said the booking was non-refundable and they’d look into it within 24-48 hours. After around 30 hours I followed up. Agoda then told me to contact the hotel again. I emailed that address and got no reply after 24 hours, so I emailed again and contacted Agoda several more times. Agoda called the hotel and asked them to get in touch with me, but there was still no reply, no call, nothing. I asked Agoda for a full refund because I wouldn’t stay there out of concern for my personal safety. Agoda says it asked the hotel about refunding me about three times, but the hotel refused. I told Agoda again I wasn’t going to stay and would warn people in my review. I don’t care about the 25 euros, this is about principles and what’s right. I seriously thought about going to the hotel at breakfast and confronting management, but I’m glad I didn’t, since it probably wouldn’t have ended well for me or them. So if you need airport pickup, don’t choose this hotel. I’ve seen plenty of good reviews and a few very bad ones, and maybe I was just unlucky. Thanks for reading.
