Tim Place - BTS Phra Khanong

This was honestly the worst place I’ve stayed in all of Asia. There are plenty of better options, so stay away. The walls are dirty and marked, the place badly needs repainting, and the interior is very dirty. The WiFi kept disconnecting. Damp coming through the walls has caused the paint to bubble and peel, and the smell is really strong. It made staying here feel depressing, and I’d avoid it for your health. They didn’t sign any paperwork or provide a tenancy agreement, then kept my money and refused a refund. If you pay and aren’t happy, apparently you’ll have to take them to court to get your money back.

The next door bar workers were friendly too, and it’s somewhere to hang out if you feel lonely. I liked the staff at Tim place, especially the very kind guy on the night shift. It was my first stay here, and it was very quiet at night, which is great if noise matters to you. I think I’ll stay here again when I come back to Bangkok.

Friendly people, a good price, and clean, basic rooms. The urban balcony was amazing, and there’s an elevator! It’s just a block from Soi 48, with lots of excellent street food. Fairly quiet too, and a nice place to stay.

Nice view, though. I’ll never come back here.
