Our family of five had a wonderful stay. There was room for everyone to relax without feeling crowded, and the interior was new and stylish. The kids loved the wooden bunk beds. We were impressed by the amenities, including the SMEG fridge, coffee machine, and projector. After sightseeing, the freestanding tub in the beautiful terrazzo bathroom was a lovely way to unwind. The location also made it easy to explore the city with three children. A big highlight for us was the upright electronic piano. We could turn the volume down and play late into the evening without worrying about the neighbors. We’ll definitely be back!
We were six people and found the apartment spacious, with comfortable beds and a large, nice bathroom that had a separate tub and shower. We stayed in the Bumble Bee room on the second floor, where there was a four-bunk bed for our four children. Daily bottled water was appreciated, as was the maid service. The staff helped carry our luggage up the stairs, which mattered since there’s no elevator. The manager and owner was extremely helpful and responsive, and arranged a private large van because Grab couldn’t accommodate our specific needs. We’d stay here again. The Lair is a five-minute walk from Iconsiam, which is why we chose it. It’s in an alley right off a busy street. Iconsiam is a huge complex of restaurants and shops on the Chao Praya river, where you can catch the long boat tours. There’s also a nice laundromat a few meters away for washing clothes.
The owner had a reliable baby cot ready, and the place was clean and roomy. It’s also an easy walk to IconSiam and the Gold line station. Down the alley there’s a corgi in the garden and a few tucked-away cafes. Street noise at night was the one drawback, though the owner provided earplugs, which helped make for a peaceful night.
A quiet, nicely decorated place to unwind in Bangkok. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had the amenities we needed, and the staff were friendly with good service. Restaurants and attractions are conveniently close by, so it works well for a city stay.
We were five, with two young kids, and stayed on Level 5. The apartment was clean and cozy, with lovely views, and the owner was responsive and helpful whenever we needed something. There’s no lift, but he arranged for his maid and helper to handle our bags at both check-in and check-out, which made things much easier. The whole team made us feel welcome. We’d consider staying at The Lair again on another Bangkok trip.
