The Quarter Onnut by UHG

The common areas and lobby look clean and modern, Wi-Fi is stable, and check-in was smooth with polite staff. The hotel is in a great spot, just a short walk from On Nut BTS, with a 7-Eleven directly across the road for quick essentials. The room showed scratches and stains, as if it had been refurbished, and the balcony is tiny, barely room for two, with somewhat rusty fencing. For the price it’s okay if convenience and transport access matter, but I’d call it a three-star stay rather than four.

The reception, bellboy, and housekeeping teams were polite and gave good service. When I asked to move from my old, unclean Superior King Room, reception apologized nicely and arranged another room for the next morning, with breakfast included. Their quick response and attentiveness impressed me through checkout. Still, the UHG. General Manager should check the older rooms and think about renovating them to improve comfort and hygiene. They shouldn’t wait for complaints, since some reviews mention clean rooms while many others describe them as old and unclean.

The staff were really warm and kind, breakfast was great, and there’s a nice rooftop pool and gym. It’s good value at an affordable price. The hotel isn’t central, but you can get around easily by SkyTrain or car services like Bolt, similar to Uber. We had a top-floor room, and the main road nearby was quite noisy. Maybe better windows would help, though free earplugs were provided. I’d also have liked a closet, shelves, or some kind of wardrobe. There’s space for clothes on the hangers and the bench-like surface near the entrance. On the 7th floor you’ll probably hear water from the pool often, though the street noise cancels it out too. All in all, we had a great stay.

The price was decent for that time of year, and the room was big enough for two people and two suitcases. We were right at the top by the pool, which was great until people started blasting music on the deck. The pool itself was okay, but there were no towels in the morning, which was really annoying. Cleaning could have been better too: they forgot to replace the tea and coffee and didn’t clean the mugs. The location was okay because we had a bike, though it’s a bit far from the places we usually go. This was more than decent, just not the best Quarter I’ve stayed at.
