Wanglang market is right next door, with an exciting selection of food and a lovely local feel. The hotel is tucked away beside the river, and the staff are attentive. Rooms are very large and clean. It’s also well placed for temple visits and shopping malls like iconsiam, and it’s worth using the ferries. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of variety. I’d definitely recommend it.

If you’re looking to stay in Bangkok’s Thonburi region, this is an excellent hotel and deserves 5 stars. The buffet breakfast is fantastic, with a river view, and the rooms are spacious. It’s a relaxing place, but getting downtown isn’t very convenient. Siam and Sukhumvit take about an hour to reach. If you don’t need to go downtown, it could be perfect.

The pool area was really nice, we enjoyed the theatre exhibits, and the staff were friendly. The bed was very comfortable, and having a fly screen meant we could open the balcony door for fresh air. It’s a lovely hotel in a fantastic, typically Thai neighbourhood. A few things kept this from being a 5 star stay. The balcony in our balcony room was very dirty, with thick dusty dirt over the bench and table, as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Proper chairs would help too. Room service was a bit inefficient during our 5 day stay: coffee wasn’t refreshed on several days, bins were sometimes left full, and the floors and surfaces weren’t cleaned. The sun loungers were too short to lie on, so full-length ones would be great.

We had a relaxing, memorable stay in three large river-view rooms with my family. The view of the Chao Phraya River was stunning, with boats passing by all day, and we could also enjoy the view of the temple. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and smelled amazing. The staff were so kind and attentive that it felt like visiting a friend’s home. We had a great time exploring Wang Lang and trying all the delicious local food. Highly recommended!
