Tian Tian Hostel

Right in the heart of Chinatown, and the hostel is well equipped and clean. It has a nice atmosphere and lovely staff who made us feel welcome. I’d recommend it.

The common area was a lovely place to hang out or get some work done, and the Wi-Fi was fast. Street food is right outside, and there’s also a cafe where you can order other coffees. Breakfast had toast, eggs you fry yourself, butter, jam, tea, coffee, and chocolate powder. I’m glad my egg cooking didn’t embarrass me. The owners and staff were nice too. I really appreciated the shoes-off rule upstairs. I’ve seen so many tourists wearing shoes in dorms at other hostels, which breaks my heart and my eyes, joking. The dorms had enough privacy, super-comfy pillows, individual lights, and towels. The shower and toilet area was spotless, toiletries were supplied, and there were enough showers on the floor that you didn’t have to wait ages. The hot shower worked, which I really appreciated. I found Tian Tian while browsing booking sites full of low-rated, sketchy-looking hostels, and its reviews seemed decent. It lived up to them. They still got me checked in when I arrived late from the airport. Breakfast and the other facilities made for a great stay, and I’d recommend it 100%.

We were outside in the heat looking for a drink when we came across this place, which was open at 5 pm. The owners spoke excellent English and knew the area well, with helpful advice and recommendations. Their beer was excellent, served in frozen glasses, and hit the spot. The drinks were well made, and the AC was wonderfully cold in that punishing heat. The place has loads of character and was spotless. Well done, keep it up.

It’s very walkable around here, and the location is really good, right by Yaowarat Road and its great night market, as well as close to Song Wat Road. The place feels safe, the rooms are clean, and the staff are very nice. The atmosphere is amazing.
